Mohanlal and Jeethu Joseph’s thriller ‘Drishyam 3’ has entered its third week in theatres and is still maintaining its hold despite witnessing a slight decline in collections. According to Sacnilk, ‘Drishyam 3’ earned Rs 1.05 Cr on Day 15. The latest figure represented a 16.0 percent drop from the previous day’s collection of Rs 1.25 Cr.The film recorded the amount across 1,341 shows. With the latest addition, total India gross collections reached Rs 119.22 Cr. India net collections now stand at Rs 102.75 Cr.

Overseas market remains a major strength

‘Drishyam 3’ collected Rs 111.25 Cr in overseas gross collections so far. With both domestic and international earnings combined, the film’s worldwide gross collection has reached Rs 230.47 Cr.

Strong first week created a solid foundation

‘Drishyam 3’ collected Rs 81.95 Cr during its first week itself.Day 7 brought in Rs 6.65 Cr across 4,721 shows. The following day also earned Rs 6.65 Cr, despite a lower show count. The second week also added respectable figures to the total run. Week 2 collection reached Rs 20.80 Cr before the film entered its third week. The ‘Drishyam’ franchise has built its popularity over the years through suspense and emotional conflict. According to ETimes, “The power of the Drishyam franchise was never merely its suspense. It was the uncomfortable moral space it placed the audience in. A man commits a crime, manipulates the system, destroys evidence, and escapes punishment, yet society collectively decides to stand with him because the crime was committed to protect his family.”ETimes review for the film reads, “The final portions still manage to deliver the tension and emotional payoff expected from the Drishyam brand. Yet the larger question remains unavoidable: was a third part truly necessary? The original film had closure within its moral ambiguity, while the second part expanded the psychological consequences effectively. This third chapter often feels like a continuation driven more by the weight of a successful franchise than by an urgent storytelling need.”With collections continuing to grow, ‘Drishyam 3’ remains one of the notable performers at the box office.DISCLAIMER: The box office numbers and the data in this article are compiled from public and industry sources.
