Keanu Reeves and Alexandra Grant give a rare look into their relationship: ‘My paintings become happier’

Keanu Reeves and Alexandra Grant have been dating since 2017, and have been going stronger than ever. While the two like to keep most parts of their relationship out of the public eye, there are times when the two end up giving fans a glimpse into what their life is like. In one of their recent joint interviews, the actor and artist quipped about what their love life is like.

On May 30, as the couple attended the 2026 MOCA Gala together, they could not help but gush about one another, showing off just how strong their relationship is. While talking to PEOPLE, the actor talked about how Grant is very ‘easy’ to love, and that the two of them are very happy together. When asked about the same, the ‘Matrix’ actor enthusiastically answered with a “yes!”On the other hand, when asked whether her art changed after she and Reeves started dating, Grant could not agree more. Weighing in on the matter, she added, “I would say that all painting is autobiographical, even though maybe even in abstraction it doesn’t look like there’s a big narrative, but I would definitely say that my paintings become happier.”

The couple started dating all the way back in 2017 after working and collaborating for years. They only publicly confirmed their relationship back in 2019 and have been happily together ever since. Last year, the couple ended up going viral online after alleged photos from their wedding were circulated online.Grant, however, later confirmed that the images online were in fact AI and were not true at all. She had posted the photos on her account at the time, and then had added the clarification in the caption, “Thank you to everyone for the congratulations on our wedding — except we didn’t get married.”
