Alia to play an ‘Alpha’ killer in YRF spy universe

Alia Bhatt to play an 'Alpha' killer in YRF spy universe; Shiv Rawail's film gets a TWIST - Reports

Alia Bhatt’s upcoming film ‘Alpha’ has once again become a major topic of discussion among movie lovers. Fresh reports surrounding the Yash Raj Films project have created curiosity about the actress’s role in the highly anticipated action entertainer. The film has already attracted attention because of its connection to the YRF Spy Universe. However, new details about Alia’s character have now added more excitement. Recent reports from IANS suggest that the actress could be seen in a completely different image compared to the characters previously introduced in the franchise.

A darker turn for Spy Universe

According to reports, Alia’s role is expected to move away from the traditional hero format commonly seen in the spy universe. Instead of following the familiar pattern, the character is reportedly being designed with a more complex personality. IANS reports said, “Alia Bhatt is definitely playing a killer in Alpha.” Further reports also suggested that the character carries a different personality from previous leads in the franchise. “She isn’t like the goody good heroes that the YRF Spy Universe has introduced so far and is, in fact, as assassin who has been raised and trained to kill. She isn’t a spy. She is an alpha killer,” reports said. The reported details have generated discussion among fans because they indicate a shift in the type of central characters usually seen in such projects.

Aditya Chopra’s reported creative shift

Reports have also claimed that Yash Raj Films head Aditya Chopra wanted to introduce a fresh style of lead character through Alpha. Instead of presenting a conventional hero figure, the film is reportedly aiming for a personality that carries more unpredictability.Reports say that the character may function according to her own rules and decisions. This approach reportedly adds stronger anti-hero elements to the narrative. “With Alpha, Aditya Chopra is taking a very unconventional approach to build a hero. This is clearly a creative pivot for the YRF Spyverse and a much-needed one for the universe that wants to score big with Alpha as it puts a leading lady doing hardcore action in an action entertainer entirely mounted on her,” reports added.Reports have additionally indicated that Alpha may explore the story of a woman raised to become an assassin. The reported storyline is believed to separate Alia’s role from earlier YRF Spy Universe characters. Previous films in the universe featured lead characters played by Shah Rukh Khan, Hrithik Roshan and Salman Khan in traditional spy roles. Reports suggest ‘Alpha’ could move toward a more layered character journey. The anti-hero shades being discussed have become one of the biggest talking points among fans online.

Star cast and film details

Apart from Alia Bhatt, Alpha also features Sharvari in an important role. Bobby Deol is reportedly expected to appear as the antagonist, while Anil Kapoor will also play a significant part in the film. The project is being directed by Shiv Rawail and continues to remain one of the most discussed upcoming films from Yash Raj Films.
