National Security Advisor Ajit Doval posed three questions to Russian cosmonauts aboard the International Space Station during his visit to Moscow, as India and Russia deepen space cooperation. As per Sputnik India, Doval was also given exclusive access to the National Space Centre named after Valentina Tereshkova, the world’s first woman cosmonaut, accompanied by Russia’s First Deputy Prime Minister. Doval’s three questions to cosmonauts in orbitThe NSA asked cosmonauts how space affects the human brain, how they prepare for the physical demands of spacewalks, and a third question on their experience in orbit. The first question that Dival asked was, “What’s your first impression when you realise there is nothing under your feet?”A cosmonaut replied: “I felt just how small we are compared to our planet.” “Walking in space is physically demanding. How do cosmonauts prepare for it?” Doval asked next. Responding to the question, a cosmonaut said: “The most difficult movements in the suit are the small ones with your fingers and hands.” On how space affects the brain, a cosmonaut replied: “Our perception of the world in weightlessness is different.”Doval views Yuri Gagarin‘s legendary carDuring the visit, Doval was given a rare glimpse of the legendary black Volga (GAZ-21) that belonged to Yuri Gagarin, the first human in space. The car, with plate number 84-61 VG, was specially allocated to Gagarin by the Cosmonaut Training Centre immediately after his historic flight in 1961.The vehicle is on display at the National Space Centre in Moscow. On Thursday, he also addressed the first International Security Forum and the 14th Meeting of High Representatives for Security Matters in Moscow.“Responsible nations must make clear choices on whether they support sponsors of terrorism or counter them with decisive action”, Doval said as per ANI report. “There cannot be double standards in the fight against terrorism,” the NSA said, stressing the need for a unified global response to terror threats.
