Aneet Padda wraps ‘Shakti Shalini’ after grand climax shoot across Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh

For actor Aneet Padda, May was packed with hectic shoots and long schedules as she completed work on her upcoming horror comedy ‘Shakti Shalini’. The film recently reached an important milestone after director Aditya Sarpotdar called wrap on the final leg of the shoot at Chitrarth Studio in Powai on May 27. The concluding schedule reportedly featured a grand sequence showcasing the protagonist’s triumph over dark forces.

Aneet Padda’s double role with a supernatural twist

The latest addition to the Maddock Horror Comedy Universe will see Aneet in a challenging double role. She essays the characters of Shakti, an ordinary woman who transforms into a saviour, and Shalini, a dangerous spirit driven by revenge. The story centres on Shalini’s rage after suffering betrayal and a brutal death, leading her to target men. The narrative eventually builds toward a dramatic confrontation between the ghostly force and Shakti.According to reports by Mid-Day, Massive sets depicting a Rajasthani village and the interiors of a house were built. The sequence shows the village people, especially women, celebrating the defeat of evil. Work on ‘Shakti Shalini’ moved at a rapid pace after production began in March. Earlier this month, the cast and crew travelled extensively across Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh to shoot some of the film’s most crucial scenes. According to insiders, “Viineet, who portrays the antagonist, and Aneet shot the climax across Chambal, Datia, Antri, Panihar, Gwalior, and Morena in Madhya Pradesh. They filmed significant portions in Dholpur and Barkhandi in Rajasthan. Nana Patekar and Seema Biswas joined the unit in May.”Apart from Aneet Padda, the horror comedy also stars Vishal Jethwa and Viineet Kumar Siingh in important roles.
