A series of shocking crime cases from different parts of India has sparked outrage and raised serious concerns over law and order. In Uttar Pradesh’s Jhansi, dismissed constable Rajat Singh, accused in a multi-crore betting syndicate case, finally surrendered before the court after remaining on the run for nearly 19 days. Police had earlier raided a luxury flat and recovered gold and silver worth around ₹1.75 crore. Rajat’s girlfriend Yashasvi was arrested during the raid, while Rajat managed to escape. He has now been sent to the same district jail where his girlfriend is already lodged. Investigators are preparing to question him regarding the betting network, financial transactions, and other accused linked to the racket. In another heartbreaking incident from Rajasthan’s Kota, a 10-year-old boy was allegedly murdered over a dispute involving just ₹200. Police tracked down the accused using footage from nearly 1,500 CCTV cameras. During interrogation, the accused reportedly confessed that the child had borrowed money and failed to return it, leading to an argument that turned deadly. The victim and accused were said to be close friends. Meanwhile, a disturbing case from Gujarat’s Banaskantha has horrified many. A man identified as Nitesh Patel allegedly sold his wife to his own friends for ₹50,000 to continue a relationship with another woman. Police revealed that the victim was held captive for several days and sexually assaulted. Several accused have been arrested in connection with the case, while investigators continue probing the wider conspiracy and criminal background of the main accused.
