Tensions between the US and Iran continue as reports of a potential nuclear deal face strong resistance from Tehran. While American media and officials have claimed that an agreement is nearly finalized—awaiting only a formal announcement—Iranian media has firmly denied key conditions of the proposed deal. The biggest point of conflict is uranium enrichment. Iran has clearly refused to give up its enriched uranium, while the US insists that Iran must fully halt its nuclear development program. According to intelligence assessments cited in reports, both the US and Israel believe Iran already possesses enough uranium to rapidly advance its nuclear capability. Another major disagreement involves Iran’s missile program, which Tehran considers a core defense strength, while the US and Israel demand restrictions on it. Additionally, control over the Strait of Hormuz remains a disputed strategic issue. The proposed framework reportedly includes sanctions relief and a 60-day negotiation window, but no consensus has been reached. With both sides holding firm positions, the possibility of a final deal remains uncertain.
