Govinda said Big B, him also faced nepotism in the industry

Amitabh Bachchan is a legend and one of the best actors that Hindi cinema. There’s not been anyone who comes close to his on-screen portrayals and stardom. But did you know that even he faced a lot of struggle during the initial phase of his career. Infact, he continued to face it for many years even after he achieved stardom. While Bachchan has never spoken about it, Govinda had once revealed that he has faced nepotism in the industry and has even see Bachchan face it. In an earlier interview with Times Of India, Govinda had said, “I have been a victim of nepotism and it was around the time I stopped getting work.” He further shared that the bigwigs of the industry were suffering from it. He revealed, “I saw Amitabh Bachchan struggle too; he would come on stage and people from the industry would walk away.” The actor shared that he supported Big B that time and for that he was punished by the industry. He added that after that while Bachchan was set free, people caught him instead.

He further added that people have even planned and plotted against him which made him lose a lot of money. “In the last 14-15 years, I have invested money and lost around Rs 16 crore. I was treated badly by some people from the fraternity too. My films didn’t get theatres and they wanted to demolish my career, which didn’t happen.” The actor has been away from movies for many years now. But he recently hinted on social media that he’s going to be back with a film soon as he shared a video of his new look for his next project. Meanwhile on the personal front, he’s been in the news for rumours of his divorce with wife Ssunita Ahuja. However, the duo clarified that were seen celebrating Ganesh Chaturthi together.
