Ronit Roy issues stern WARNING to scammers impersonating him

Ronit Roy issues stern warning to scammers impersonating him: 'Cops are coming for you'

Ronit Roy has issued an urgent public warning after he found out that fraudsters were using his identity to solicit money from fans, particularly women, online, making him the latest celebrity to be targeted in an impersonation scam. Taking to Instagram on Thursday, the actor directly named the fraud and shared key details to help fans identify and avoid the scammer.

Ronit Roy reacts strongly to fraudsters posing as him to scam women

In a post on his Instagram, he wrote, “It has come to my notice that someone has been using my name and reaching out to people, especially girls, and asking for money. This person has been trying to take bookings in my name. The number involved is a Zangi number 3318085685. The email ID being used is ronitroybookings@hotmail.com. Everyone, be careful. As for the perpetrator… cops are coming for you.”Ronit Roy was firm in setting the record straight about how he operates on social media. The actor added, “Please note I will never approach women on social network or otherwise. Obviously I will never ask anyone for money. If y’all come across anyone like that, please bring it to my notice immediately.”

Ronit Roy shares screenshots as evidence

To back his claims, Ronit Roy shared screenshots of conversations in which the impersonator allegedly demanded money while pretending to be him. He also issued a broader caution to all social media users. He added, “Be very careful of people using celebrities’ identities to fool people and take advantage of them. In case you come across such instances, it’s always a good idea to bring it to the celebrity’s notice. Me nor my representatives will ever reach out asking for money or for any such favours.”

Ronit Roy’s projects

Ronit Roy was last seen in the mythological horror film ‘Maa’ (2025) and the TV series ‘Chakravarti Samrat Prithviraj Chauhan’ (2025). Next, he is set to appear in ‘Teen Kauwe’, a Prime Video series created by Abbas Tyrewala, produced by Siddharth Roy Kapur, and directed by Priyanka Ghose.
