The Twisha case has escalated further with Giribala Singh, the mother-in-law of the deceased, publicly denying all allegations against her. She stated that her phone calls to influential people were only condolence calls to acquaintances and not an attempt to influence the investigation. She also strongly rejected claims of violating bail conditions or not cooperating with the police. Giribala accused the Bhopal police of biased investigation and claimed she has been unfairly targeted under pressure from the victim’s family. She insisted that she has not received all the notices as alleged and is willing to cooperate with authorities, including appearing before the police/SIT. Meanwhile, the family continues to demand a fair and independent probe, including a CBI investigation, alleging influence and obstruction in the case. Disputes have also emerged over CCTV footage and evidence handling. Giribala has requested CBI intervention as well, saying she has no objection if the investigation is transferred. The case remains highly disputed, with conflicting claims from both sides and no clear resolution yet.
