Tarantino WARNED Brad Pitt: ‘You’ll be dead in this business’

When Quentin Tarantino WARNED Brad Pitt on sets of 'Once Upon A Time in Hollywood': 'You'll be dead in this business'

Filmmaker Quentin Tarantino may be gearing up for his next film with Brad Pitt with ‘The Adventures of Cliff Booth’, but according to the latest reports, tensions ran high on the sets of their previous film ‘Once Upon a Time in Hollywood’.Veteran actor Bruce Dern raised eyebrows when he recalled an incident on the sets that saw the director seemingly threaten the star that his Hollywood career would be ‘over’. While speaking to People during the Cannes Film Festival premiere celebrations for the documentary ‘Dernsie’, Dern, spilled the beans about the disagreement that occurred on the sets.Recalling the scene, he explained how he improvised a line during the take, which prompted a rather unexpected reaction from Pitt. He said, “When Brad Pitt wakes me up in ‘Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood,’ I’m in the bed and I get up and I’m a little groggy and stuff and I just say, ‘I’m not really sure what’s going on.’ “I’m looking at him. [Pitt] cut the camera. He cut the camera. The look on Quentin’s face – I mean, he was insanely grave – and he said, ‘Brad, what did you just do?’”Dern revealed that Pitt went on to explain that the improvised line was not part of the script and so he ‘cut the camera’. However, this prompted a agitated reaction from Tarantino, who warned him, saying, “Never again in your life will you ever cut a camera or you’ll be dead in this business. That’s my domain.”According to Dern, Pitt insisted, “Well, that wasn’t in the script what he said.”‘Once Upon a Time in Hollywood’ went on to become both a critical and commercial success. The film earned 10 nominations at the Academy Awards and won two Oscars, including Best Supporting Actor for Pitt. According to the latest reports, Pitt will return as stuntman Cliff Booth, in a Netflix film slated to release in December this year. Directed by filmmaker David Fincher, the film written by Tarantino, is a sequel to ‘Once Upon a Time in Hollywood’ and is set in 1977 Hollywood. The movie will open in IMAX theatres globally on November 25 for an exclusive two-week run before arriving on Netflix on December 23, Netflix said in a statement.
