A video has recently gone viral on social media, depicting a woman assaulting an elderly man lying on a cot. This incident reportedly took place in Pratapgarh district, Uttar Pradesh. The man in the video is identified as the uncle of the woman’s husband.
Following the video’s circulation, the police took note and recorded statements from the elderly man, his daughter-in-law, and the local villagers.

According to reports, 87-year-old Vishwanath Tiwari from Saray Kalyandev in the Antu police station area is unmarried. He resides with his nephew, Omkarnath, and has willed his property to his brother’s sons.
Omkarnath works at a private job in Uttarakhand, while his wife Sunita Tiwari stays at home with their children and her husband’s uncle.
On Saturday, a video of Sunita beating Vishwanath Tiwari went viral on social media. Upon noticing the viral video, Antu police visited the elderly man’s residence, where they questioned Sunita and the villagers.
Station House Officer Anandpal Bhadauriya noted that the elderly man’s mental condition is not well. Sunita is the sole caretaker of him at home.
Nearby residents corroborated that she cares for him alone. They mentioned that she hit him out of anger and has since apologised to him.
