PM Narendra Modi hailed India’s Q1 GDP growth of 7.8%, saying Bharat has outperformed all expectations despite global economic challenges.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday referred to the recently released GDP data and said that the numbers have once again proven that Bharat has performed beyond every expectation and estimate.

“The GDP numbers for the first quarter of this year have once again proven that Bharat has performed beyond every expectation and estimate,” the Prime Minister said.
“On one hand, many of the world’s economies are facing uncertainty and challenges related to economic selfishness. Yet, in this environment, Bharat has achieved a remarkable growth rate of 7.8 per cent,” he said.
Calling this growth broad-based, he added, “This growth is visible across all sectors, and it brings a unique enthusiasm to our citizens.”
“With this momentum, we are well on our way to becoming the world’s third-largest economy,” PM Modi said.
The Prime Minister’s remark came as he inaugurated Semicon India 2025 at Yashobhoomi, Delhi.
He also stressed India’s strong economic performance and its ambition to lead the global semiconductor future.
