The actress looked stunning in a fitted black mini dress that featured a striking white halter neckline detail.Adding a dramatic touch to the outfit, she layered the look with a long dark coat and styled it with sheer stockings and black boots. The overall ensemble gave off an elegant winter-fashion vibe.Mouni completed the look with a sleek bun and minimal makeup, effortlessly carrying the classy outfit against the scenic seaside backdrop of Cannes.

The actress’ Cannes appearance comes just days after she and Suraj Nambiar officially announced their separation. Speculation around trouble in their marriage had begun after social media users noticed that the two had unfollowed each other on Instagram.On May 14, Mouni and Suraj released a joint statement confirming the split while requesting privacy and dignity from the public and media.“We would like to state that we have decided to part ways and are taking the necessary time to address matters privately and amicably. Attempts have been made to sensationalise our private lives by circulating fictitious narratives and blatant falsehoods, which do not reflect the reality of our relationship,” the statement read.The two also urged people not to spread false stories regarding their separation and clarified that there was no third-party involvement or dispute between them.

Suraj Nambiar dismisses rumours around alimony and third-party involvement

Days after rumours around their separation intensified online, Suraj Nambiar broke his silence and strongly reacted to reports surrounding their personal lives.“Recent baseless reports surrounding our separation have been made in bad taste and are absolutely malicious. Let me set the record straight once and for all. There is no alimony. There are no disputes. There is no third party involved,” Suraj wrote in a statement shared on social media.He further stated that the two had mutually decided to part ways respectfully and criticised fabricated reports being circulated online.“Mouni and I chose to part ways together, with mutual respect and with full consideration for each other’s wellbeing. That is the truth. Everything else being reported is fiction,” he added.Suraj also requested media outlets and social media users to stop dragging innocent people into the matter and urged everyone to respect the joint statement already issued by the couple.
