EPS removes Sengottaiyan, his supporters from party posts

CHENNAI: After former minister KA Sengottaiyan issued a 10-day deadline for AIADMK general secretary Edappadi K Palaniswami to readmit those who were removed from the party, Palaniswami issued orders to remove Sengottaiyan from all his party postings. His supporters with whom Sengottaiyan held meetings before issuing deadline were also removed from the postings.According to a release from AIADMK, Sengottaiyan was removed from the post of party’s organization secretary and Erode suburban west district secretary. Sengottaiyan will continue to be a party cadre.Similarly, Sengottaiyan’s supporters such as Nambiyur north union secretary Thambi alias K A Subbramaniyan, Nambiyur south union secretary M Eswaramoorthy alias Chennai Mani, Gobichettipalayam west union secretary N D Kurinji Nathan, Anthiyur north union secretary M Devaraj, Erode zone IT wing deputy secretary K S Mohankumar Athani town panchayat secretary S S Rajesh and deputy secretary Velu alias T Marudhamuthu were also removed from the party.The announcements came after Palaniswami held a meeting with party’s senior functionaries in Dindigul about the deadline issued by Sengottaiyan.
