The Independence Day weekend was special for movie lovers, especially for the Thaliava fans, as Rajinikanth’s much-awaited ‘Coolie’ made it to the screens on August 14. The movie entered its third week this Friday and has been keeping the cash registers ringing. Though praised for its gripping story and stellar performance, ‘Coolie’ too wasn’t immune to the weekday drop. Thus, with a slow Monday, the movie minted a little over a crore, according to a trade report by Sacnilk.

‘Coolie’ box office collection day 19 update

After enjoying a weekend surge, where the film collected Rs. 2.8 crore and Rs. 3.1 crore on Saturday and Sunday, respectively, it made a business of Rs. 1.10 crore on Monday. This brought the film’s total earnings to Rs 280.20 crore in the domestic market.
