A powerful spell of storms, heavy rainfall, lightning strikes, and hailstorms has triggered widespread devastation across Uttar Pradesh, claiming at least 45 lives and leaving many others injured. According to reports, the highest number of deaths was recorded in Prayagraj where 17 people lost their lives during the severe weather conditions. Fatehpur reported nine deaths, while six fatalities were confirmed from Bhadohi. Five people each died in Badaun and Pratapgarh.
