Ranveer Singh starrer ‘Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge’ continues its phenomenal run at the box office even as the film gears up for its OTT debut this weekend. Nearly two months after its theatrical release, the action entertainer is still drawing audiences to cinemas and inching steadily towards the massive Rs 1,800 crore mark worldwide.According to the latest estimates reported by Sacnilk, the film earned approximately Rs 40 lakh on Day 55 (Tuesday), registering a slight increase from its eighth Monday collection of Rs 35 lakh. The modest jump comes after the film witnessed a dip at the start of the week 8.However, the latest collections come after the film registered impressive growth on its eighth Sunday, by recording over 100 per cent growth compared to its eighth Friday collections. The strong hold at the box office has further cemented its status as one of the biggest theatrical successes in recent years.So far, ‘Dhurandhar 2’ has amassed a staggering Rs 1,143.84 crore India net collection across all languages. It’s India gross total now stands at Rs 1,368.98 crore.The film has also performed exceptionally well overseas, where it has grossed Rs 426.62 crore. With this, the worldwide gross collection has now reached an enormous Rs 1,795.60 crore, placing the film just shy of the Rs 1,800 crore milestone. Here is the language-wise India net breakdown of the film’s collections after its 55-day theatrical run:Hindi Net: Rs 1,074.71 croreTelugu Net: Rs 43.00 croreTamil Net: Rs 19.76 croreKannada Net: Rs 3.85 croreMalayalam Net: Rs 1.77 croreThe film’s sustained performance is particularly noteworthy given its upcoming digital release, slated for May 14 (May 15 in other countries). The film is scheduled for its digital premiere on Netflix for international audiences and in India on JioHotstar. The film will reportedly feature an extended “Raw & Undekha” version with roughly 3 minutes of additional footage that was reportedly cut out during the film’s theatrical release in India.With the OTT premiere around the corner, all eyes are now on whether the Ranveer Singh-led spectacle can cross the historic Rs 1,800 crore worldwide mark before concluding its theatrical journey.
