Pawan Kalyan congratulates new Tamil Nadu CM Vijay: 'I wish the new government will fulfil the aspirations of the people'

Vijay, popularly known as Thalapathy, was sworn in as the new Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu on Sunday, May 10, 2026. After the actor-turned-politician’s oath ceremony, several celebrities from various film fraternities took to social media to wish him the best for his future endeavours as the CM of TN. Now, Pawan Kalyan has joined the bandwagon of stars who congratulated Vijay.

Pawan Kalyan congratulates Vijay on becoming new CM of Tamil Nadu

Pawan Kalyan, who belongs to the Telugu film industry and also serves as the Deputy Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, took to his X account to congratulate Vijay on becoming the CM of Tamil Nadu. He wrote, “Heartfelt congratulations to @TVKVijayHQ Chief Thiru @actorvijay AVL on taking oath as the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu and to all those who took oath as Ministers.”The post further read, “I wish the new government will fulfill the aspirations of the people, ensure transparent and progressive governance, and lead Tamil Nadu towards greater growth and prosperity.” In the morning, R Madhavan also expressed the desire that Vijay’s tenure as Tamil Nadu’s Chief Minister be the most rewarding and impactful one for the state. He took to his Instagram and wrote, “All the very very best my dear brother. May your tenure as the Chief Minister be the most rewarding and impactful one for our state.May God give you all the strength you need to do all the good you need to do. So proud of you my brother.”Tamil superstar Kamal Haasan, actor Prasanna, and actress Simran also took to their social media accounts to congratulate Vijay.

Vijay takes the oath as CM of Tamil Nadu

In an emotional and politically charged first address after assuming office as the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu on Sunday, C. Joseph Vijay, aka Thalapathy Vijay, promised transparent governance, women’s safety, welfare-oriented administration, and a corruption-free government, while thanking the people for placing their trust in him.

Vijay’s last film

Vijay’s final film ‘Jana Nayagan’ was supposed to be released before the Tamil Nadu assembly elections. However, the movie was stuck due to issues at the Central Board of Film Certification. The film, directed by H Vinoth, will now reportedly arrive in cinemas in June this year. However, the makers have yet to make an official announcement. Go to Source
