The BJP secured victory by a margin of 12,723 votes in the constituency. CPI(M)’s Miraj Alam Sekh finished third with 12,698 votes, while Congress and other smaller parties remained far behind. NOTA recorded 3,423 votes.Mangalkot (constituency no. 272) is located in Purba Bardhaman district and falls under the Bolpur Lok Sabha constituency.
