Lag Jaa Gale faces delay as Lakshya preps for new look

‘Lag Jaa Gale’ faces delay as Lakshya preps for new look, shoot extended to October - Reports

Lag Jaa Gale’s shoot has been extended to October due to Lakshya’s look transformation, requiring him to grow his hair. The film stars Tiger Shroff and Janhvi Kapoor in a revenge-based action drama with a love triangle. Meanwhile, Lakshya awaits Chand Mera Dil, while Tiger and Janhvi continue with their respective projects.

Lakshya is currently juggling multiple projects as he awaits the release of his romantic film ‘Chand Mera Dil’ while continuing work on his next, ‘Lag Jaa Gale’. The action drama, which also features Tiger Shroff and Janhvi Kapoor, has now reportedly had its shooting schedule pushed to October. The delay is reportedly due to Lakshya’s on-screen transformation. According to the report, the actor appears in a soft, romantic avatar in ‘Chand Mera Dil’, but requires a more intense, rugged look for ‘Lag Jaa Gale’. Since this requires him to grow his hair, the production timeline has been extended.

‘Lag Jaa Gale’ shoot impacted by Lakshya’s dual looks

According to Mid-day, while filming ‘Lag Jaa Gale’, Lakshya had to shoot for a few scenes of ‘Chand Mera Dil’. His looks in both films are different.

He had to not only cut his hair, but also trade the rugged avatar of ‘Lag Jaa Gale’ for the soft look that he has in ‘Chand Mera Dil’. Now, he will have to grow his hair and then resume the actioner’s shoot.

‘Lag Jaa Gale’ story centres on action and love triangle

‘Lag Jaa Gale’ stars Lakshya and Tiger Shroff in an action story based on revenge. Earlier reports said that the face-off between their characters will be a major highlight, with several action scenes planned. Janhvi Kapoor’s character adds more drama to the story, creating a love triangle at the centre. ‘Lag Jaa Gale’ was first announced in 2022 as a film to be directed by Karan Johar during his 50th birthday celebrations. However, he later stepped away from directing and is now working on the film as a producer.

Tiger Shroff’s last release

Tiger’s last release was ‘Baaghi 4’, helmed by A. Harsha and backed by Sajid Nadiadwala. In the film, he plays Ronny, a naval officer who begins seeing visions of a woman named Alisha after an accident and soon finds himself up against a criminal syndicate led by Sanjay Dutt’s character, Chacko. The cast also included Shreyas Talpade, Harnaaz Sandhu, Sonam Bajwa, Saurabh Sachdeva, and Upendra Limaye.

Janhvi Kapoor’s recent films

Janhvi Kapoor, on the other hand, was recently seen with Varun Dhawan in ‘Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari’. The romantic comedy revolves around two people dealing with heartbreak who try to make their ex-partners jealous, only to end up falling in love. She will next be seen in ‘Peddi’ alongside Ram Charan. There have also been reports about her film ‘Devara’ with Jr NTR, although nothing has been officially confirmed so far.

Lakshya’s upcoming film ‘Chand Mera Dil’

Meanwhile, Lakshya is gearing up for the release of ‘Chand Mera Dil’. The film features Ananya as the female lead opposite him. It is directed by Vivek Soni and produced by Karan Johar, Adar Poonawalla, Apoorva Mehta, Somen Mishra, and Marijke deSouza. The story is written by Vivek Soni, while the screenplay is co-written by Tushar Paranjpe and Vivek Soni. Go to Source
