‘Wuthering Heights’ OTT release: What to expect, where to watch and more

Margot Robbie's 'Wuthering Heights' OTT release: Here's all you need to know about the drama

‘Barbie’ star Margot Robbie has built a powerhouse career spanning from indie films to major blockbusters, earning audience love along the way. ‘Euphoria’ actor Jacob Elordi rose to prominence through the series and has since secured leading roles in major productions. The two actors come together for an ambitious reimagining of Emily Brontë’s beloved 1847 gothic romance ‘Wuthering Heights’. Now, ‘Wuthering Heights’ is available to watch from home on multiple platforms.

‘Wuthering Heights’ box office and runtime details

‘Wuthering Heights’ has a runtime of approximately 2 hours and 8 minutes. The film made its theatrical debut earlier this year, collecting $239.4 Million worldwide at the box office according to Sacnilk. Now you can watch ‘Wuthering Heights’ at home on your preferred platform.

How to stream ‘Wuthering Heights’ online

‘Wuthering Heights’ is currently streaming on HBO. You can also rent and purchase the film on Apple TV and Prime Video. If you choose to rent ‘Wuthering Heights’, you get access for 30 days, but just 48 hours once you start watching.

What ‘Wuthering Heights’ is about

The 2026 adaptation of ‘Wuthering Heights’ maintains the bones of Brontë’s classic tale. Catherine is a motherless rich girl being raised by an alcoholic father, whilst Heathcliff is a poor kid adopted to be raised alongside her. They run wild in the moors of West Yorkshire, England and develop a deep connection. As they grow into adulthood, their preternatural connection becomes an all-consuming romance. But Catherine longs for luxury and sees no future with Heathcliff, so she agrees to marry the wealthy neighbour Edgar Linton. Heathcliff, feeling betrayed, runs away, only to return five years later as a wealthy man himself.Fennell intentionally puts quotation marks around the title, signalling that her modern adaptation of ‘Wuthering Heights’ is radically different from the source material.

Director and cast of ‘Wuthering Heights’

Academy Award-winning writer-director Emerald Fennell (‘Promising Young Woman’, ‘Saltburn’) helms the project, bringing her distinctive vision to ‘Wuthering Heights’. Margot Robbie plays Catherine Earnshaw whilst Jacob Elordi portrays Heathcliff, the star-crossed lovers at the heart of the drama. Shazad Latif rounds out the main cast as Edgar Linton, the wealthy neighbour Catherine chooses to marry. The pairing of Robbie and Elordi in ‘Wuthering Heights’ raises casting concerns from fans. Many viewers think Robbie is too old to play Catherine, whilst others argue that Elordi is not racially ambiguous enough to play Heathcliff. Go to Source
