Sivakarthikeyan and Venkat Prabhu’s film to have AR Rahman’s music

Sivakarthikeyan and Venkat Prabhu film revived: AR Rahman likely to compose music for sci-fi epic - Report

Sivakarthikeyan is currently busy shooting for his upcoming film ‘Seyon,’ directed by Sivakumar Murugesan. The movie has already created strong expectations among fans following the success of the team’s earlier production, ‘Thaai Kizhavi.’ Before joining ‘Seyon,’ Sivakarthikeyan had also reportedly committed to a massive science-fiction entertainer with director Venkat Prabhu. However, in recent months, rumours started spreading that the project had been dropped due to delays and script changes. This created confusion among fans eagerly awaiting the actor-director combination.

‘SK 26’ revived again, AR Rahman in talks for music

A fresh report from Filmibeat now suggests that the untitled ‘SK 26’ project is back on track after several months of delay. The producer has reportedly denied rumours that the film was shelved. The makers are said to be reworking the script to make it more commercial and entertaining for family audiences. At the same time, another major update has excited fans even more. Oscar-winning composer A. R. Rahman is reportedly being considered to compose music for the film. Since the movie is planned on a grand scale with heavy VFX and international-level visuals, the team wants a powerful musical album that can attract attention across India and overseas markets.

Venkat Prabhu reportedly made major changes to the script

The film is said to be a science-fiction comedy entertainer with modern visuals and advanced technology-based sequences. Reports say Venkat Prabhu even travelled to the United States with his technical team to discuss graphics and VFX work for the project. After the mixed response to Sivakarthikeyan’s recent releases, the actor’s team reportedly requested several improvements to the story to make it more engaging and audience-friendly. This is believed to be one of the main reasons for the delay. The team has now reportedly completed fresh script modifications and is preparing to move ahead with the next stage of production soon.

Talks underway with multiple actresses for key roles

The producers have also revealed that they are negotiating with a number of actresses for key movie roles. Ramya, seemingly in the final stages of discussions for a central role, is also negotiating with Kalyani Priyadarshan and Bhagyashree Borse. Sivakarthikeyan will reportedly be seen in a dual role in the movie, which may lead to the inclusion of two heroines. Though no official casting announcement has been made yet, the project has already created strong buzz among fans because of its large scale and unique genre.
