Britney Spears is ‘healthy and happy’ and ‘feeling very positive’: Gets released from rehab, awaits trial in DUI case

Britney Spears recently made headlines after it was revealed that the famed singer is facing official DUI charges in California. Now, as per the latest updates, the singer has finally come out of her rehab run and is looking forward to getting better.

Britney Spears leaves rehab while awaiting DUI trial date

As per a recent Page Six report, only a day after it was reported that she had been charged with driving under the influence and is awaiting trial, Spears has left rehab after completing her stint. A statement from the report read, “She’s healthy and happy and feeling very positive and excited to start afresh. Rehab was a great opportunity for her to ground herself.” While the ‘Toxic’ singer is no longer going to be checked into the rehab facility, she will still be receiving counselling and other required help remotely. Spears had enrolled in a rehab program earlier last month, on April 12.As to why she joined the facility, another statement from the report read, “This isn’t about one substance in particular, it has a dual purpose … this is about Britney putting her mental health first and taking some time for herself to focus on the things that are important to her.” Furthermore, as per the report, she has stayed away from alcohol from the moment she had been taken into custody, and is making a major “lifestyle change” in her life.

Britney Spears’ arrest while driving under the influence in California

Earlier this year, in March, the 44-year-old singer was approached and stopped by authorities while she was driving in California. She was stopped by the police for ‘erratically’ driving her car near her home. She was taken into custody in Ventura County jail on suspicion of being under the influence of substances such as alcohol and/or drugs. As per the recent report, some substance was also found in Spears’ car; however, not many details were shared about the matter.
