DRDO, Navy conduct maiden salvo launch of 2 anti-ship missiles from chopper off Odisha coast

In a boost to maritime strike capabilities, the Defence Research and Development Organisation and the Navy successfully conducted the maiden salvo launch of the indigenous NASM-SR anti-ship missile from a helicopter over the Bay of Bengal off the Odisha coast. Two missiles were fired in quick succession, marking the first such air-launched salvo test, with all objectives met using tracking systems deployed by Integrated Test Range, Chandipur.
