VotePulse: Exit Polls Hint BJP Lead in Assam, Bengal Battle Tight Ahead of Final Results

As anticipation builds ahead of the Assembly election results, exit poll trends are offering an early glimpse into the possible political landscape across five key states, including West Bengal and Assam. While final results are scheduled to be announced on May 4, the political atmosphere is already charged with claims and counterclaims from all major parties. In West Bengal, the big question remains: who has won the trust of voters? Exit polls suggest a closely contested battle, with intense competition between major political forces. However, the exact outcome remains uncertain, making Bengal one of the most closely watched states in this election cycle. Meanwhile, in Assam, the “poll of polls” indicates a strong performance by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), projecting a comfortable majority. According to aggregated exit poll data, the BJP is expected to secure around 93 seats, potentially achieving a third consecutive term in the state. The Congress-led alliance is projected to win approximately 29 seats, while other parties may secure around 7 seats. Notably, all 11 exit polls conducted for Assam have predicted a BJP victory, reinforcing expectations of a political hat-trick. Beyond politics, global tensions and rising temperatures are adding to the overall intensity. International developments, including diplomatic talks involving major world leaders, continue to keep geopolitical concerns alive. At the same time, extreme heat conditions are affecting daily life across several regions. With political, global, and weather-related “heat” rising simultaneously, all eyes are now on the final verdict that will shape the future course of these states.
