Fred Beyer created chaos at the NFL Draft after walking onto the stage and trying to announce a fake pick for the Pittsburgh Steelers. The 24-year-old YouTuber later shared the full prank in a behind-the-scenes vlog, showing how he used fake credentials to enter a restricted area inside Acrisure Stadium. The stunt quickly turned serious. Security stopped him on stage, police officers escorted him out, and the NFL handed him an indefinite ban from all league events. The letter made it clear that if he tries to attend any NFL game or event again, law enforcement will be called. Even with the serious warning, the strange night ended with two police officers asking him for a photo.

Fred Beyer storms NFL Draft stage and announces fake Pittsburgh Steelers pick before security removes him

In his YouTube vlog, Beyer explained how he planned everything before reaching the draft. He printed fake media credentials and used them to get access to an exclusive backstage area where only authorized people were allowed. At one point between official draft picks, he calmly walked onto the stage with a microphone. He started by saying he was announcing “the 67th pick” for the Steelers. Before he could finish properly, production staff quickly cut off his microphone. That did not stop him. Standing at the front of the stage, he shouted loudly that the Steelers had selected “Luke Maxer,” which appeared to be a joke linked to influencer Clavicular’s popular “looksmaxxing” phrase. Security rushed in almost immediately and pulled him away from the stage. He was then taken aside, where one event official questioned him directly.“Why did you think you could go up there?” the official asked. “Because I wanted Luke Maxer to get drafted by the Steelers,” Beyer replied. “No, that doesn’t work,” the official answered. His fake credentials were taken away, and police officers were called to handle the situation. Two officers then walked him out of the venue before he was given an official NFL letter explaining his punishment.“The ban is league-wide and will be enforced rigorously,” the letter said. “Should you be found at any NFL game or event, law enforcement will be summoned and you will be arrested. We sincerely hope that you will take this opportunity to reflect on your actions.” Despite the ban, the moment ended in an unexpected way. After leading him outside, both police officers asked Beyer if they could take a photo with him, making the already strange night even more unforgettable.
