‘We Bury The Dead’ set for May OTT release

'We Bury The Dead’ OTT release: Here's when and where you can watch Daisy Ridley, Brenton Thwaites zombie film

Brenton Thwaites, along with ‘Star Wars’ fame Daisy Ridley, are back again with a brand new film, this time around exploring the zombie apocalypse genre. While the film was released last year, and hit US theatres earlier this year, it has recently been confirmed that the film is all set to be released on a popular OTT platform. Here is all that we know about the digital release so far.

‘We Bury The Dead’ OTT release set for May

It has been confirmed by Collider that the thriller film, led by Daisy Ridley, is all set for official release on Hulu. The film will be released on May 8, and will also be available for 4K UHD and Blu-ray purchase from July 8 onwards. As per Box Office Mojo, the film managed to collect USD 3,885,965 at its box office worldwide when it was released in theatres in January this year. On opening day, it was played across a total of 1,172 theaters.

Cast of ‘We Bury The Dead’

The official cast for the zombie apocalypse film includes Daisy Ridley as Ava and Brenton Thwaites as Clay, along with Mark Coles Smith as Riley, Chloe Hurst as Katie, Kym Jackson as Lt. Wilkie, Matt Whelan as Mitch, Deanna Cooney as Bianca, Salme Geransar as Private Clarkson, Elijah Williams, Holly Hargreaves, Megan Hollier, and many others.

Plot of ‘We Bury The Dead’

The film, directed by Zak Hilditch, centers around Ava, a woman who is abandoned in Tasmania and is searching for her husband in the area. An apocalypse happens in the region when a government-powered military weapon kills 500,000 people by accident after failing to operate properly. Rather than killing them completely, the weapon turns these people into reanimated corpses, or zombies, essentially giving way to an apocalyptic reality for the survivors. Go to Source
