Michael Jackson biopic sequel in the works?: Open-ended finale points at possible second film

Excitement is palpable as fans await the upcoming Michael Jackson biopic, ‘Michael.’ The film is set to debut shortly, and early reactions indicate that it may not be a standalone project. The conclusion teases future developments, suggesting that there’s much more to explore in the King of Pop’s extraordinary journey.

‘Michael’, the biopic film about the famed pop icon Michael Jackson, is only a day away from its release, and fans and netizens, as well as critics, are already talking about it. While early critical reviews have been mixed, netizens have also reported on the film. Ahead of its release, fans are in for a surprise.

Michael Jackson biopic to have a possible sequel

According to many online reports from critics and netizens who attended the film’s premiere, the ending leaves room for a future installment. Reportedly, the film ends with the words “His Story Continues” written on the screen, possibly indicating that the team behind the film may already be planning for a sequel.Starring Jaafar Jackson, Michael Jackson’s nephew, in the lead role portraying him, the film tells the tale of the famed pop star from rags to riches. It explores the beginning of his career and his rise to worldwide fame.

Team behind ‘Michael’ hinted at possible sequel

Recently, while speaking to The Hollywood Reporter about the film, Adam Fogelson said that ‘Michael’ does not cover the entire story of the ‘Thriller’ singer.Fogelson, the chair of the production house behind the biopic, stated, “This first movie stops well short of telling the full story of Michael Jackson. There is a lot of amazing music in this catalogue that this part of the story doesn’t get to. So, we have said that there is room for another film.”He further added, “I can tell you that the filmmaking team has been hard at work preparing for a second film, and when the right moment comes, we would be excited to announce that it is definitively happening. … I’m encouraged that there is more story to tell and that we have a really good shot at being in a position to deliver.”The Michael Jackson biopic, ‘Michael’, is set for release on April 24, though paid previews started a day early today.
