More about ‘Bhooth Bangla’

Directed by Priyadarshan, the horror comedy stars Akshay Kumar, Paresh Rawal, Jisshu Sengupta, Rajpal Yadav, Wamiqa Gabbi, Tabu, Rajesh Sharma, and the late Asrani. The movie has become one of Akshay Kumar’s highest-grossing opening-day films post-pandemic. ‘Sooryavanshi’ is at the top of the list, while ‘Housefull 5’ occupies the second spot with a Rs 24 crore net collection. For those unfamiliar, Priyadarshan and Akshay Kumar’s last collaboration was the 2010 film ‘Khatta Meetha’. Meanwhile, ‘Bhooth Bangla’ is also the last screen appearance of the late veteran actor Asrani. The film was scheduled to arrive in theaters on April 10; however, the makers pushed it to the 17th to avoid getting caught in the ‘Dhurandhar 2’ fever. While the movie released on April 17, the paid preview shows were scheduled for April 16, 2026. Go to Source
