TCS Nashik case: Accused prepare to seek bail from court

In the alleged TCS Nashik sexual harassment and religious coercion case, the accused are now moving a Nashik court for bail and anticipatory bail. Lawyers Baba Sayyed and Rahul Kasliwal, who are representing some of the accused, are preparing anticipatory bail for one female accused who has not yet been arrested, along with regular bail applications for those already in judicial custody. Supreme Court refuses to extend relief to Pawan Khera

The Supreme Court of India has refused to extend transit anticipatory bail protection for Congress leader Pawan Khera, asking him to approach a competent court in Assam. Khera had moved the top court seeking an extension of relief till April 20 in connection with a case linked to allegations involving the wife of Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma. A bench of justices rejected his plea for extension, but clarified that its earlier order staying the Telangana High Court’s grant of transit anticipatory bail will not affect the jurisdiction of the court in Assam.
