‘Let’s Give Them Their Rightful Due’: PM Modi’s Appeal To MPs Ahead Of Women’s Reservation Bill Voting

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday issued a direct appeal to the Members of Parliament ahead of the voting in the Lok Sabha today on the Women’s Reservation Bill. He asked the MPs to keep in mind the memory of the women in their lives while voting and urged them not to deprive them of new opportunities.

“This amendment will be passed by consensus, and the women power of the country will become even more empowered… the democracy of the country will become even more empowered,” he wrote in a post on X.

“Come… let us together create history today. Give the women of India… the country’s half population their rightful due,” PM Modi added.
