Ranveer’s old clip on ban on Pakistani artists in India goes viral

Ranveer Singh's old clip talking about ban on Pakistani artists in India goes viral, netizens say he was perfect for 'Dhurandhar'

Ranveer Singh can be called the ‘man of the moment’ thanks to the kind of response ‘Dhurandhar’ and now ‘Dhurandhar 2’ have got. While ‘Dhurandhar’ that released in December 2025, broke all records at the box office, the sequel has gone a step higher and beaten it. Ranveer is earning a lot of praise for his portrayal of Jaskirat and Hamza in this Aditya Dhar directorial. While the franchise got a lot of love, many have also criticised the film and called it propaganda. Amidst the success of ‘Dhurandhar 2’, Ranveer’s old clip talking about India’s ban on Pakistani artists has now gone viral. Ranveer said at the India Today Conclave in 2019, “I am cognisant that there is one school of thought that one should not mix art with it or sport with it. These are different realms and the boundaries are separate. But at the same time us as artistes, sportsmen or spectators, we are not sacrificing the way some of our compatriots are. If there are people in the forces or their near and dear ones what their sentiments are should have the highest value. If there is one mother of a soldier who believes, we should not engage, then we should respect the sentiment. I think what they want should be of utmost importance to us.”

Deepika, you lucked out.” Meanwhile, ‘Dhurandhar 2’ is the first Hindi film to cross Rs 1000 crore net in India.
