Breaking: Bihar Cabinet Sworn In as NDA Government Takes Shape Amid Caste Balance Politics

A new political chapter has officially begun in Bihar as the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government has been sworn in, with Samrat Choudhary taking oath as Chief Minister. The ceremony also saw senior leaders from the alliance, including key ministers from the Janata Dal (United), formally assuming office. Veteran leaders such as Vijay Kumar Choudhary and Bijendra Yadav took oath as ministers, reflecting a carefully balanced cabinet structure based on administrative experience and caste representation. The composition of the new government highlights a deliberate effort to maintain social and political equilibrium across Bihar’s diverse electorate. Political analysts note that caste arithmetic remains central to Bihar politics, with representation given to Kushwaha, Yadav, OBC, and upper-caste groups in key positions. The NDA alliance, comprising the BJP and JD(U), appears to have coordinated ministerial distribution to ensure both stability and inclusiveness within the government. Further discussions are underway regarding cabinet expansion, which is expected to introduce new faces while removing a few existing ministers. Reports suggest that several leaders close to influential political families may be included in the upcoming reshuffle. Key constitutional posts, including the Speaker of the Bihar Legislative Assembly and the Legislative Council Chairperson, are also expected to be divided strategically between alliance partners. Meanwhile, speculation continues over future leadership roles within the state BJP unit. As Bihar enters this new phase, attention now shifts to portfolio allocation, cabinet expansion, and the evolving power balance within the NDA government, which will shape the state’s governance direction in the coming years.
