Breaking: NDA Forms New Govt in Bihar as Samrat Choudhary Takes Oath as CM, Era of Change Begins

A major political milestone has been achieved in Bihar as the new National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government has officially taken oath, marking a historic leadership transition. Samrat Choudhary has been sworn in as the Chief Minister, ending a long phase of coalition-led governance dominated by the earlier political structure in the state. Alongside the Chief Minister, two Deputy Chief Ministers from the Janata Dal (United)Vijay Kumar Choudhary and Bijendra Yadav—have also taken oath, formally completing the top leadership structure of the new government. The ceremony concluded at Lok Bhavan, after which senior leaders exited the venue amid tight security arrangements. This development is being seen as a significant turning point in Bihar’s political history, where the Bharatiya Janata Party has, for the first time, assumed the Chief Minister’s office in the state while continuing its alliance with JD(U). The transition marks the end of a long political phase where JD(U) leadership, under Nitish Kumar, remained central to governance. According to emerging political details, the cabinet expansion is likely to take place after the conclusion of ongoing electoral processes in other states, with indications that it may be held next month. Key portfolios such as Home and Assembly Speaker are expected to remain with the BJP, while JD(U) will retain significant representation in the cabinet. Reports also suggest that new faces from both alliance partners may be inducted, reflecting a mix of experience and political balance. As Bihar enters this new phase, attention now shifts to cabinet expansion, portfolio allocation, and the future direction of governance under the newly formed NDA leadership.
