Prince Harry is set to visit UK in September.

Prince Harry is set to visit the United Kingdom next month on the third anniversary of Queen Elizabeth II’s death to attend a charity awards ceremony in London. The Duke of Sussex will support the WellChild children’s charity on September 8, an organisation for which he has served as patron for 17 years. The 2025 event falls exactly three years after his grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II, passed away at Balmoral in Aberdeenshire.

Prince Harry is scheduled to deliver a speech, present an award to an “inspirational child” between the ages of four and six and meet with seriously ill children and their families. The WellChild Awards celebrate young people with complex medical needs and the caregivers-both family and professional- who support them.

Prince Harry said: “I am always privileged to attend the WellChild Awards and meet the incredible children, families and professionals who inspire us all with their strength and spirit… Their stories remind us of the power of compassion, connection and community.”

The WellChild charity describes itself as the national children’s organisation working to make it possible for young people with complex health needs to thrive at home, rather than in hospital, wherever possible.

Prince Harry, who lives in California with his wife Meghan Markle has attended the awards 14 times previously.

Prince Harry was last in the UK in May, following a failed legal challenge over his security arrangements after stepping back from royal duties. His September visit is expected to reignite speculation over whether he will meet his father King Charles or his estranged brother Prince William.
