Breaking: Chirag Paswan Condemns Abusive Politics, Rejects Vote Theft Allegations

LJP (Ram Vilas) chief Chirag Paswan strongly criticized the Congress and RJD for using derogatory language against Prime Minister Narendra Modi during Rahul Gandhi’s recent Voter Rights Yatra. In a sharp rebuttal, Paswan said that while political disagreements are natural in a democracy as diverse as India, dragging down the dignity of language cannot be justified. He argued that even the toughest criticism can be expressed with respectful words, but the use of abusive language against the nation’s Prime Minister is unacceptable.Paswan went further, blaming Congress and RJD for encouraging a culture of street-level abusive politics since the 1990s, which, according to him, damaged Bihar’s reputation. He warned that such language reflects not political workers but “rowdies.” Referring to allegations of “vote theft” made by Rahul Gandhi and Tejashwi Yadav, Paswan said such terms undermine democratic institutions. He reminded that opposition leaders earlier accused EVMs of malfunctioning, yet never provided proof. “If you claim fraud, why not file a complaint with the Election Commission?” Paswan asked, stressing that unfounded allegations show opposition’s desperation. He concluded that spreading distrust in constitutional bodies leads to anarchy, urging opposition parties to fight elections with dignity rather than insults.
