Donna Kelce shares childhood tribute

Travis Kelce’s mother, Donna Kelce, 72, celebrated the engagement by updating her Facebook cover photo with side-by-side childhood pictures of Travis and Taylor. Taylor’s post, showing Travis proposing amid a garden of flowers, went viral instantly. The announcement comes after months of speculation, following the couple’s public debut in September 2023 at a Chiefs game.The next month, Donna Kelce shared her thoughts on the Got It From My Momma podcast, describing the experience as surreal and unlike anything she had been part of before. Just two days prior to the engagement announcement, she had hinted at the news to People, saying her son’s mind was “settled” and leaving it at that.

Ed Kelce reveals proposal details

Travis’ father, Ed Kelce, 73, also spoke about the engagement in an interview with News 5 Cleveland. When asked if he would be covering the rehearsal dinner, Ed joked that Travis would likely help him out. He revealed that Travis proposed to Taylor nearly two weeks before the announcement, at their home in Lee’s Summit, Missouri.

A special moment shared with family

Ed Kelce described the proposal, saying Travis took Taylor out for a glass of wine before dinner, and that’s when he popped the question. The couple then FaceTimed both sets of parents to share the moment. Ed added that seeing them together was a wonderful sight.Ed Kelce also shared the advice he gave Travis before the proposal, telling him that it didn’t matter where he proposed—as long as it was special—emphasizing the importance of the moment when he got down on one knee to ask Taylor to marry him.
