The 31st day of the escalating Middle East conflict has seen a dramatic intensification of hostilities. Israel launched a fresh wave of airstrikes on Tehran and surrounding regions, including Karaj and Alborz Province, triggering blackouts and widespread disruption of power grids. Iran’s air defenses were activated, but explosions and infrastructure damage have been reported across the capital. Meanwhile, Hezbollah fighters ambushed Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) in southern Lebanon, targeting military posts with sustained gunfire and explosives. Two videos circulating from the region show fighters opening fire from concealed positions, causing injuries and damage to IDF positions. Israel responded by targeting suspected Hezbollah strongholds in Beirut and southern Lebanon to neutralize operational threats. Tensions have further escalated as the United States announced deployment of an additional 10,000 troops, including Marine and Airborne units, to the region. US forces are preparing for potential ground operations, particularly around Kharg Island, a strategic Iranian oil hub responsible for over 90% of the country’s export capacity. Both sides have fortified defenses, with Iran positioning additional soldiers, missiles, and drones for counterattacks. Attacks have also been reported across Jordan, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE, with drone and missile strikes striking key military and industrial targets. Analysts warn the conflict is entering a highly strategic phase, with multi-front confrontations involving Israel, Iran, Hezbollah, and the US, increasing the risk of a broader regional escalation.
