‘Vash Level 2’ BO: The film earns Rs.1.50–1.75 crore on opening day

'Vash Level 2' Box Office Day 1 collection: The film earns Rs.1.50–1.75 crore on opening day, Hindi dubbed version contributes Rs.50–60 lakh

The sequel to the Gujarati horror hit ‘Vash’ released on August 27, coinciding with Ganesh Chaturthi. The film opened to a strong response, marking one of the best starts ever for a Gujarati release at the domestic box office. Fans had been eagerly awaiting the sequel after the success of the first film, and the new installment seems to have delivered, giving the Gujarati film industry a solid boost with its impressive opening.

Strong Start for ‘Vash Level 2’

The original ‘Vash’ was a big success, so anticipation for its sequel was naturally high. ‘Vash Level 2’ released on August 27 in Gujarati as well as a dubbed Hindi version. Adding to the buzz, the Hindi remake of the original, ‘Shaitaan’, had already sparked strong interest, which helped the sequel reach a wider audience. The opening response has lived up to expectations.

Impressive Opening Day Collection

On its opening day, ‘Vash Level 2’ earned around Rs.1.50–1.75 crore across India. Out of this, the Hindi dubbed version alone contributed about Rs. 50–60 lakh, a remarkable feat for a regional film. This is likely the strongest-ever opening for a Gujarati film released nationwide in a dubbed format.

About the Film

‘Vash Level 2’ continues the story of Atharva, played by Hitu Kanodia, who believes he has saved his daughter Aarya (Janki Bodiwala) from a dark force. However, evil resurfaces when schoolgirls begin behaving strangely, forcing Atharva to confront the sinister black magician Pratap, played by Hiten Kumar. This time, the horror unfolds within a girls’ school. The film also stars Monal Gajjar, Chetan Daiya, and Prem Gadhavi in key roles. Directed by Krishnadev Yagnik—best known for ‘Chhello Divas’ and the original ‘Vash’—the film has been released in both Gujarati and a dubbed Hindi version.

Recognition at the 71st National Film Awards

The original Gujarati film ‘Vash’ earned significant recognition at the 71st National Film Awards, winning Best Gujarati Feature Film. Actress Janki Bodiwala also received the Best Supporting Actress award for her performance. This acclaim elevated the franchise’s stature and set high expectations for its sequel, ‘Vash Level 2’.DISCLAIMER: The box office numbers in this article are compiled from our proprietary sources and diverse public data.
