Breaking: Government Clarifies No Change in LPG Booking Rules, Debunks False Reports

The government has issued an official clarification regarding LPG booking rules, confirming that there has been no change in the existing system. Recent reports claiming that LPG booking timelines have been extended created confusion among consumers. Authorities have now confirmed that urban areas continue to follow a 25-day booking cycle, while rural areas follow a 45-day schedule, as per the longstanding regulations. The clarification comes in response to widespread misinformation circulated across media platforms, which incorrectly suggested that booking timelines had increased to 35 days or more. Government officials emphasized that these reports are entirely false and urged consumers not to rely on rumors spread via social media or unofficial channels. Consumers under the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana can expect their cylinders within the standard booking period—25 days in urban regions and 45 days in rural areas—without any disruptions. Authorities have reassured the public that the LPG distribution system remains unchanged and fully operational. This announcement underscores the government’s effort to maintain transparency and prevent panic or misinformation regarding essential fuel supplies. Users are advised to rely on official communications and authorized LPG distributors for accurate information. The clarification aims to stabilize consumer confidence and ensure smooth access to LPG cylinders across the country.
