In a major development from Bihar, Anand Singh has been granted bail by the High Court, bringing significant relief to the Mokama MLA. Singh was arrested during the state assembly election campaign in connection with the Dularchand Yadav murder case and had been in jail since then. After facing rejection from a lower court, he approached the High Court, which has now ruled in his favor. According to the latest updates, Singh will not be released immediately but is expected to come out of jail by Friday or Saturday, although Eid holidays may cause slight delays. A key factor behind the bail decision was the postmortem report, which indicated that the victim died due to heavy pressure on the body rather than gunshot injuries, weakening earlier claims. Additionally, investigation reports reportedly did not establish a direct presence of Singh at the crime scene. While his supporters are celebrating the decision, it remains to be seen whether authorities will challenge the bail order in a higher court.
