CHANDIGARH: Less than 24 hours ahead of polling for two Rajya Sabha seats from Haryana, Congress functionaries on Sunday accused BJP of trying to bribe party MLAs to cross-vote, reports Manvir Saini. Acting on the direction of AICC general secretary in-charge B K Hariprasad, some Congress MLAs approached Shimla Police to initiate criminal proceedings against BJP functionaries and refer the case to ED, claiming that they had been offered crores. When TOI reached out to Shimla SSP Gaurav Singh, he denied that his office or any of his staff had received any such complaint. Haryana BJP president Mohan Lal Badoli dismissed the allegations, saying, “We have more than sufficient numbers to ensure the victory of our candidate.”
