BREAKING: Shivalik Ship Safely Crosses Strait of Hormuz, To Reach Gujarat’s Mundra Port Tomorrow

In a major maritime update, India’s Shivalik-class ship carrying LPG has safely crossed the Strait of Hormuz and is heading towards Gujarat’s Mundra Port, scheduled to arrive tomorrow at 9:30 AM. The journey of the vessel, closely monitored by the Indian Navy, marks a significant diplomatic and strategic achievement for India. The INS Visakhapatnam and MH-60R Romeo helicopters have been providing continuous surveillance, while Chetak helicopters escorted the ship, ensuring its secure passage through one of the world’s most sensitive maritime routes. This operation comes after extensive diplomatic coordination, including phone calls between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the President of Iran, as well as discussions between External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar and the Iranian Foreign Minister. These efforts secured clearance for India’s ships to safely traverse a route currently restricted for other vessels, highlighting a successful diplomatic negotiation. Following Shivalik, another ship, Nanda Devi, is scheduled to arrive at Kandla Port on March 17. The safe passage of Shivalik not only demonstrates India’s naval operational capability but also reinforces its diplomatic leverage in the region. ABP News provides exclusive photos and videos capturing the ship’s journey, offering viewers a detailed look at this high-security maritime operation.
