Meanwhile, his upcoming film ‘Jana Nayagan’ faces uncertainty as its OTT rights deal has reportedly been cancelled amid ongoing controversies.

Thalapathy Vijay has reportedly arrived in New Delhi for questioning by the Central Bureau of Investigation in connection with the Karur stampede case.According to the latest reports from PTI, the actor has travelled to the national capital to appear before the investigation team for the third round of questioning in the case. Officials are expected to question Vijay regarding certain aspects of the case as part of the ongoing probe.

Actor checks into Taj Palace hotel

Reports suggest that Vijay landed in New Delhi earlier and later checked into the well-known Taj Palace Hotel in the city.Shortly after his arrival, videos of the actor’s car reaching the hotel began circulating widely on social media platforms. The third round of questioning is expected to take place on Sunday, March 15, 2026.

Earlier request for delay rejected by CBI

Earlier this month, Vijay had been asked to appear before the CBI team on March 10, 2026. However, the actor reportedly requested additional time before attending the interrogation.According to reports, Vijay initially asked for 15 days to appear before the investigation team and the request was not accepted by the agency. Later, the investigation team decided to grant him a shorter extension. Vijay was reportedly given five days to present himself for questioning. Following this development, the actor has now travelled to New Delhi for the third round of interrogation in the case.Watch the video here

Vijay comments on his political journey

Vijay recently made a strong statement about his current priorities. The actor indicated that politics has now become his primary focus. During a public event, Vijay said: “I don’t have anything left now, other than politics.”Apart from the investigation, there have also been developments concerning his upcoming film projects and personal life.

‘Jana Nayagan’ faces fresh issues

Meanwhile, Vijay’s upcoming film ‘Jana Nayagan’ has reportedly encountered new difficulties. According to a report by Thanthi TV, the film’s OTT rights deal has now been cancelled amid the ongoing controversy.Reports claim that a leading streaming platform had earlier acquired the digital rights of the film for around Rs 120 crore. With the deal now reportedly cancelled, the movie’s digital release plans remain uncertain.Directed by H. Vinoth, ‘Jana Nayagan’ is described as a political action thriller. The film had been scheduled for a theatrical release on January 9, 2026.However, the release was postponed after the Central Board of Film Certification did not grant clearance in time.
