The long-standing rivalry between Dr. Disrespect and Nickmercs is once again making headlines in the gaming community. Early in March 2026, Dr. Disrespect heavily criticized Nickmercs during a live stream, calling him a “phony,” a “two-faced,” and a “fake.” The controversy is now making waves on social media and YouTube, reminding the public of the long-standing rivalry between the two gaming personalities. The latest argument is connected to a controversy that began in 2024 after Dr Disrespect was banned from Twitch. At that time, Nickmercs publicly denounced him due to allegations that he had been cheating on his wife and had been sending inappropriate messages to a minor.

The relationship between the two gamers has been tense ever since, and they often respond to each other during their live streaming.

How the Dr Disrespect and Nickmercs drama started and why it is escalating again

The conflict between the two creators goes back to 2024 and 2025. During that time, Nickmercs chose to distance himself from Dr Disrespect following the Twitch ban controversy. He said that the situation put many of his friends in a difficult position and even referred to Dr Disrespect as a “dog” during one of his streams. Those comments created a clear divide between the two personalities. Things heated up again on March 5, 2026, when Dr Disrespect spoke about Nickmercs during a YouTube stream while playing Battlefield. He said Nickmercs was pretending to be someone he is not and claimed that the streamer would not repeat those comments if they met in person. Dr Disrespect also mocked him by saying he had become irrelevant and suggested that he relies on content like thumbnails from TheBurntPeanut to attract viewers.Nickmercs responded a few days later during a stream of ARC Raiders between March 9 and March 11. He did not hold back in his reply. Nickmercs called Dr Disrespect a “f**king actor” and told him to stop pretending. At the same time, he stood by his earlier criticism and once again mentioned the cheating allegations that originally caused the fallout.Clips from both streams quickly spread across YouTube and other social media platforms. Fans from both communities began discussing the situation, which only made the feud more visible online. While Dr Disrespect even claimed he would “destroy” Nickmercs if they met face-to-face, no real-life confrontation has happened. However, the rivalry between Dr. Disrespect and Nickmercs is currently one of the biggest talking points in the world of streaming. With both parties still talking about each other while streaming, it appears the drama is far from over.
