Harish Shankar reacts to the box office clash with ‘Dhurandhar 2’

Harish Shankar reacts to the 'Ustaad Bhagat Singh' vs 'Dhurandhar 2' box office clash: 'Both films are different'

Director Harish Shankar downplays the box office clash between his film ‘Ustaad Bhagat Singh’ and Ranveer Singh’s ‘Dhurandhar: The Revenge’. He stated that both films belong to different genres and audiences will choose based on their interests, not as rivals. Shankar highlighted the strong fan support for Pawan Kalyan’s films in Telugu states.

Director Harish Shankar recently spoke about the upcoming box office clash between his film ‘Ustaad Bhagat Singh’ and the Hindi action thriller ‘Dhurandhar: The Revenge,’ directed by Aditya Dhar. The two films are scheduled to release during the Ugadi and Eid festive weekend, which has sparked discussions among fans and trade circles. Many believe the clash could create strong competition at the pan-India level because both films have big stars. While ‘Ustaad Bhagat Singh’ stars Pawan Kalyan in the lead role, ‘Dhurandhar: The Revenge’ features Ranveer Singh as the main character. However, Harish Shankar has made it clear that he does not see the clash as competition.

Harish Shankar responds to the box office clash

In a recent interview with Glute, Harish Shankar revealed that the release date of ‘Ustaad Bhagat Singh’ was not decided by him. He also praised Aditya Dhar and described him as a talented filmmaker. According to Harish Shankar, both films belong to different genres and therefore cannot be compared directly. He explained that ‘Dhurandhar: The Revenge’ is a large-scale spy action film, while ‘Ustaad Bhagat Singh’ tells a different story with its own emotional elements. Therefore, he believes audiences will watch both films based on their interests rather than treating them as rivals.

Strong fan support for Pawan Kalyan’s film

The director also pointed out that films starring Pawan Kalyan usually receive strong support from fans in the Telugu states. He believes that people go to see their favorite actors, especially when the movie appears at the festival. Sreeleela and Raashii Khanna are also in the cast, taking on significant roles, while R. Parthiban and Ashutosh Rana appear in supporting parts.

‘Dhurandhar: The Revenge’ creates strong buzz

However, in the case of ‘Dhurandhar: The Revenge,’ there is a lot of excitement ahead of the movie release. The recently released trailer has gotten a big boost on the internet, with millions of views. The action involves Ranveer Singh as he plays the role of an Indian spy attacking and battling powerful terrorists and people. The movie will not only include Ranveer Singh but also include Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Rampal, and R. Madhavan in prominent roles. Go to Source
