'Jailer 2': Shah Rukh Khan's role in Rajinikanth's film revealed, Nelson film gets a massive pan-India boost

Shah Rukh Khan will reportedly play a police officer in Rajinikanth’s ‘Jailer 2’. This role is said to be significant and will influence the storyline. The film, directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, is highly anticipated. Rajinikanth has finished most of his scenes. Shah Rukh Khan’s scenes are expected to be filmed in March. The movie features a star-studded cast.

Excitement around the sequel to ‘Jailer’ has reached a new high with reports that Shah Rukh Khan will be sharing screen space with Rajinikanth in ‘Jailer 2.’ Directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, the sequel to the 2023 blockbuster is already one of the most anticipated films in Indian cinema. The possibility of two of the country’s biggest superstars appearing together has set social media abuzz and raised expectations among fans across industries.

Shah Rukh Khan to play a cop

According to a report by Cinema Express, Shah Rukh Khan will be seen playing a police officer in the film. Unlike a brief cameo, the role is said to be a significant character that could influence the film’s storyline. Interestingly, veteran actor Mithun Chakraborty had earlier hinted in an interview that Shah Rukh Khan would be part of the project. With the Bollywood star reportedly appearing in a powerful cop role, the film is expected to feature an exciting dynamic alongside Rajinikanth’s character, Tiger Muthuvel Pandian.

Nelson expands his star-studded universe

Director Nelson Dilipkumar is known for bringing together stars from different film industries. The first ‘Jailer’ itself featured prominent appearances by actors like Mohanlal, Shiva Rajkumar, and Jackie Shroff, which thrilled audiences across languages. With ‘Jailer 2,’ the filmmaker appears to be expanding that multi-star universe further. Reports suggest that Rajinikanth has already completed most of his portions for the sequel, while Shah Rukh Khan’s scenes are expected to be filmed in March. The actor supposedly allotted 7-10 days to shoot.

Star-studded cast and high expectations

Other than Shah Rukh Khan, ‘Jailer 2’ is said to have several other top performers in the mix. With the likes of Vijay Sethupathi, S. J. Suryah, Santhanam, and the Malayalam actor Suraj Venjaramoodu possibly in prominent roles, there are also first installment stars like Ramya Krishnan, Yogi Babu, and Vinayakan rumored to be included. Anirudh Ravichander will compose the music for this film as well. Go to Source
