BJP leader Sambit Patra held a press conference leveling sharp allegations against Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, accusing him of orchestrating actions that undermine India’s global image. Patra claimed that Gandhi was the “architect and designer” behind the AI Summit presentation, which he alleges projected a negative portrayal of India internationally. Patra compared Gandhi’s demeanor during the presentation to the historical traitor Mir Jafar, suggesting that he appeared pleased while his own country was allegedly being defamed. Patra further alleged that Gandhi’s actions were part of a carefully planned strategy, extending from foreign support, including alleged influence from George Soros-linked initiatives, to activities at Gandhi’s residence. He claimed that Gandhi deliberately highlighted the vulnerabilities of marginalized communities—Dalits, tribals, and Muslims—painting a picture of India in crisis, akin to conflict zones abroad, to gain international attention. The BJP MP emphasized the distinction between genuine leadership and “lawlessness,” criticizing Gandhi for presenting himself as a leader while engaging in what Patra described as anti-national posturing. He also criticized Gandhi’s informal attire in Parliament and his statements claiming credit for the AI Summit, calling it a display that tarnished India’s reputation. Patra concluded by asserting that despite these alleged efforts, India will remain strong and resilient, rejecting any attempts to defame the nation or weaken its standing.
