Celebs react to India winning T20 World Cup

PM Narendra Modi, Akshay Kumar, Virat Kohli, Anushka Sharma, Ajay Devgn, Sachin Tendulkar: Celebs react to India winning T20 World Cup

India played against New Zealand at the ICC T20 World Cup Finals and won. India thrashed New Zealand by 96 runs to become the first team to defend their T20 World Cup title and win a record third crown at Narendra Modi stadium in Ahmedabad on Sunday. As India registered this victory and the entire country is celebrating it, many celebrities have started reacting to this win. Akshay Kumar was one of the first people to drop his reaction and as always, he had a hilarious take to it. He shared a GIF of his dance from his upcoming film ‘Bhoot Bangla’ and wrote, “हर घर का माहौल 🕺🏼🥁Congratulations on bringing the World Cup home, Team India 🇮🇳” PM Narendra Modi congratulated the team and said, “Champions! Congratulations to the Indian team on winning the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup! This remarkable triumph reflects exceptional skills, determination and teamwork. They have shown outstanding grit through the tournament. This victory has filled every Indian heart with pride and joy. Well done, Team India!” The legendary Sachin Tendulkar wrote, “Winning the World Cup twice in a row, the first time any team has done so in the T20 format. Totally deserving and rightful winners of the trophy. What a fantastic performance by our team and a special brand of cricket on display. Well done, Team India. Jai Hind! 🇮🇳🏆” Virat Kohli also dropped a post cheering for the team. He wrote, “Champions once again ⭐️⭐️⭐️. Phenomenal victory for us in the big final at Ahmedabad. Great character shown by the boys under pressure throughout the tournament and absolutely no one could come close to this talented bunch of players. Congratulations to the whole management and the whole support staff group for being part of this amazing feat. Very well deserved. Jai Hind 🇮🇳❤️” Anushka Sharma also congratulated the team.

Ajay Devgn reacted, “My throat is gone from all the shouting, but my smile isn’t going anywhere all week! #TeamIndia you have made billions of hearts beat with pride tonight! CHAMPIONS once again! 🇮🇳🙌”Mahesh Babu cheered for the team and said, “What was that!!! 🤯🤯🤯A magnificent testimony to Team India’s dominance unleashing full beast mode to bring it home for 1.4 billion hearts…😍😍😍Exemplary performances from Samson, Abhishek, Ishan, Dube , Bumrah, Axar and everyone who made this unforgettable…. Congratulations Team India 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 History keeps turning its pages with glory for the nation ❤️❤️❤️ Jai Hind 🇮🇳” Vivek Oberoi penned a long note and pointed out how the team broke the jinx. He said, “Tonight, we’ve buried the “Ahmedabad jinx” under sheer willpower. Proof that while a jinx is for those who fear, the podium is for the winners! 🇮🇳✨ The boys delivered a historic Double Dhamaka, smashing two world records in one night: a massive 255/5—the highest total in T20 World Cup Final history—and becoming the first and only team to ever successfully defend the T20 World Championship title.” He further appreciated individual team members and said, “Sanju Samson has been a revelation—for three games straight, he’s ignored the milestones and played purely for the soul of the nation. It was heartwarming and it was legendary. Abhishek, Shivam and Ishan Kishan unleashed an unfiltered blitzkrieg with the bat, and Ishan also became a human magnet on the field, snatching match-winning catches that broke the Kiwis’ spirit. What a sight!Behind it all, SKY was the ultimate chess master, moving his warriors with clinical precision. And when it was time to close the gates, the usual heroes—Bumrah, Hardik, Varun and Axar —stepped up like cold-blooded assassins to silence the chase. We’ve replaced the ghosts of the past with the golden roar of the present. The tricolor is flying high and the trophy is home! 🏆🔥Jai Hind! 🇮🇳🙏” Abhishek Bachchan cheered for the team.
